D. Kelly Dameron
D. Kelly Dameron is responsible for profit and loss, executive oversight, planning, and guidance of the Elbit Systems of America® Airborne Solutions business. Airborne Solutions specializes in mission specific avionic systems for military fixed and rotary wing aircraft, along with precision guidance systems for airborne munitions. Key programs include F-35, F-18, F-16, V-22, Apache, UH-60, CH-47, Laser JDAM and other laser guided munitions.
Mr. Dameron joined the company in 2000. Prior to being selected as Vice President Airborne Solutions in 2008, he held the position of Vice President, Rotorcraft Systems. In this capacity Mr. Dameron was responsible for profit and loss leadership of the business segment focusing specifically on US military rotorcraft aircraft. Key avionic solutions provided include Apache Integrated Helmet Display and Sight System (IHADSS), the Apache Blk III Mission Processor, and the AN-AVS-7 ANVIS/HUD® for utility and cargo aircraft.
Prior to joining Elbit Systems of America®, Mr. Dameron was with BAE Systems, serving as Director of US Business Development for navigational and guidance systems. In this capacity he led marketing and sales ventures for British military navigation products into the US.
Prior to joining BAE Systems, Mr. Dameron was with Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems, serving in various F-16 Engineering and International Business Development roles. As the Director responsible for F-16 Marketing / Technology Demonstration activities, he led focused efforts in developing customer operational and technical requirements, leading to flight demonstrations of specific F-16 configurations.
Mr. Dameron earned a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas, has done continuing education with SMU Cox School of Business, and graduate work with Walden School of Organizational Psychology.
