Common Central Interface Unit

The Elbit Systems of America® Common Central Interface Unit (CCIU) controls operation of the stores management system and provides fault-tolerant processing capabilities on the F-16. Functioning as a digital and discrete interface terminal/controller, the CCIU directs remote interface units to transmit control signals to store and receive updated store status from remote units. The CCIU is a low-cost, F3I replacement for ACIU. Significantly lighter in weight and requiring less power, the Elbit Systems of America® CCIU features dual redundancy, increased memory (2.3 MB/side,) and ethernet accessibility.
