System Components
GAViS™ consists of a single line replaceable unit composed of an uncooled infrared sensor, an integrated window assembly through which the sensor obtains imagery, an integrated aerodynamic enclosure, and electronics responsible for window assembly heater control functions and infrared sensor control. It requires +28VDC aircraft power and supplies standard RS170 analog video for display in the cockpit. The GAViS™ is mounted externally to the aircraft skin on top, bottom, or anywhere the forward field of view is open.
